Kellie Martin is an American actress in television, film as well as stage actor. Her most famous roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other roles of note include the lead role in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin is born to a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her career in acting when she was seven. Her aunt who served as an nanny for Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin to get her a character in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation of Yale University, she took acting more seriously and landed substantial roles, both on the small and the big screen. Martin, in addition to being an excellent dancer and actress, is also a skilled ballet photographer. Two-time mother, she is the national spokesperson for Lupus and has been spreading awareness regarding the disease since her sister died of it in just 19.
